Mass Save Residential Water Heater Replacement Calculator

This calculator provides estimated annual and 10-year operating costs for different water heater types, based on local energy rates and equipment efficiency.
  • You can adjust the number of household members to see the estimated operating costs for a hot water heater in your home.
  • Temperature rise is the difference between the incoming cold-water temperature and the temperature your water heater must reach for hot water use. A greater temperature rise requires more energy, which increases operating costs.
